“It is in the mountains that I find home.”
Though born in the Bay Area and raised all over the world, it was when Andrew moved to Sonora, California in 2004 and reconnected with Yosemite National Park and the central and eastern Sierra that his landscape work gained true focus. His best days are spent crawling over granite, fording mountain streams, admiring wildflowers and staring up at a sky full of stars. Though he has now lived in Santa Cruz for the past six years, the high country is still a frequent destination for him (especially in fall when the Aspens are turning) but he loves his home in Santa Cruz and has spent time creating images of his coastal surroundings and the fascinating wildlife that call the central coast home.
